Desalination And Reuse
Desalination or desalination is a process that allows to reduce the content of salts in the water
For this reason, it has been widely used in the transformation of water in order to add value and allow the water to be used in the manner required for each process. One of the most notable examples of the use of desalination refers to the treatment of salt water (sea water) or brackish water (with high salt content in non-marine water) for the production of drinking water or water for processes that allow the development of economic activities intensive in the consumption of this resource.
On the other hand, the scarcity of water in the world has led to the development of technologies that make it possible to reuse water (reuse) in different applications instead of being discharged into watercourses, thus reducing the consumption of fresh water and contamination of receiving waterways.
